Samantha Scrase Dickins is an independent furniture designer and specialist fabricator.

Having worked for ten years as a restaurant designer and fabricator in Montreal , Canada, Samantha was accepted as student in the Masters by Design program at Central Saint Martins (CSM). Upon completion of her degree, she was asked to become the first female resident designer in the metal works department of CSM and taught short courses on furniture design.

Subsequently Samantha became a partner of an engineering firm specialising in speciality steel installations. As a certified welder and project manager she helped build and collaborated on works such as the staircases and balustrades for the V & A's refurbished fashion department.

New opportunities led Samantha back to specialising solely on furniture design and production where she decided to branch out on her own and has set up a successful company focusing on bespoke design and fabrication. Her designs, installation and fabrication encompass furniture, tables, staircases, fireplaces, handrails and gates. She particularly enjoys solving difficult problems for her clients such as recently successfully converting a fireplace into a functioning humidor.
